The lectures only fee (500 €) includes the lectures on Wednesday 21 April 2027 and the refreshments indicated in the programme. It does not include the course dinner or the cadaver laboratory. 3. Registration and Payment
Registration for the Course is completed via the online form provided on the website. All registration fees must be paid in full at the time of registration through an external payment processor (Stripe). Registrations are only confirmed once payment has been successfully processed. The number of places in the cadaver laboratory is limited, and places are allocated in the order in which confirmed registrations are received.
4. Payment Processing
Payments are processed securely through Stripe, a third-party payment service provider. While the Organization does not store full credit card information, it retains the last four digits of the card number submitted at registration to verify and link the payment to the registrant. All other financial data related to payment is subject to Stripe’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
5. Right of Withdrawal (14 Days)
Participants have the right to withdraw from their registration within fourteen (14) days of the date on which the registration was confirmed, without giving any reason. To withdraw, the participant must notify the Organization of the decision in writing by email to secretary@fssh.fi before the withdrawal period has expired. The registration fee will be refunded in full without undue delay and no later than fourteen (14) days after the notice of withdrawal has been received, using the same payment method that was used for the registration.
If the registration is made less than fourteen (14) days before the Course, the participant, by registering, expressly requests that the Course be provided during the withdrawal period. In that case the right of withdrawal ends when the Course has been provided.
6. Binding Registration after the Withdrawal Period
After the withdrawal period referred to in section 5 has expired, the registration is binding. Participants have no right to cancel their registration after that, and course fees are not refunded if the participant cancels or does not attend the Course.
7. Course Modifications and Cancellations by the Organizer
The Organization reserves the right to modify the course program, instructors, or schedule as necessary. In the unlikely event that the course must be canceled or rescheduled, registered participants will be notified promptly. In case of course cancellation by the Organization, a full refund of the registration fee will be issued. The Organization is not liable for any additional costs incurred by participants, including but not limited to travel or accommodation expenses.
8. Force Majeure
The Organization is not liable for failure to perform its obligations if the failure is caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, such as natural disasters, pandemics, actions of authorities, strikes, or disruptions in transport or energy supply. In such a case, the provisions of section 7 apply to the refund of the registration fee.
9. Cadaver Laboratory
Participants in the cadaver laboratory must follow the instructions and safety rules of the laboratory staff and the course faculty. Anatomical specimens must be treated with dignity and respect for the donors. Photographing or filming anatomical specimens is not permitted without permission from the laboratory staff.
10. Photographs
Photographs may be taken during the Course and used in the Organization’s communications, including social media. Participants who do not wish to appear in published photographs can inform the photographer or the Organization at secretary@fssh.fi.
11. Data Privacy
Personal data provided during registration will be processed in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Data will be used for course-related purposes, and the last four digits of the credit card number will be retained to verify payment. Data will not be shared with third parties, including partners or sponsors, without separate consent, except as required for payment processing and the provision of the Organization’s services or by law. For more information, please review our Privacy Policy.
12. Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Organization is not responsible for any personal injuries, loss, or damage to personal property during the Course, and the Organization disclaims any liability for incidental or consequential damages. Participation is at the participant’s own risk. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory law, such as liability for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes will primarily be resolved through negotiation. If no agreement is reached, disputes will be settled in the Pirkanmaa District Court. A participant who is a consumer may also bring the matter to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board or to the district court of their place of residence, as provided by mandatory consumer protection law.
14. Acceptance of Terms
By completing the registration, participants acknowledge and accept these Terms and Conditions.
